Yes, it sure does! We get this a lot because the previous version didn't move, but this one flops its tail like it's nobody's business!
What is the best cat kicker fish toy?
We have tested almost every cat fish toy available out there and we are confident to say that Kittenfy's Floppy Fish Cat Toy has the highest manufacturing quality and it's cats' preferred choice.
How does Floppy Fish work?
Well, it's nothing less than magic! First, it's motion activated so after turning it on you just have to shake it a bit and it'll start flopping. This feature allows cats to make it flop on their own! Second, after moving for a while it stops, so you don't need to worry about turning it off. This also helps save battery life.
Where can I find Floppy Fish Cat Toy reviews?
At the bottom of this page you will find real customer reviews who have purchased this cat kicker fish toy at Kittenfy and tried it with their own cats.
How realistic is it?
Size, proportions, appearance and movement where inspired on real fish so cats can feel they've caught the real thing!
How do you charge a Floppy Fish?
Just plug the USB cable to any standard USB type A port and you are good to go. It takes 2 hours to be fully charged.
What's in the box?
You get the Floppy Fish Cat Toy and a USB cable for charging.
Have two fish and two cats to play with them. One stopped flopping after two weeks, the other is still going strong. The one that stopped still has the engine noise, but the tail does not move anymore. Was very surprised the covering has held up to the cats' vigorous playing. I thought they would tear it but it is intact. Otherwise, this is a great product and has been very entertaining for each cat.
My cat loved the floppy fish but it only lasted a week. You could hear the electrical parts running but the fish won't move. I have reached out and I'm waiting to hear back. It was good while it lasted but pricey for only a week of use
Great toy hours of fun . One bad thing is I bought a two pack and one will not charge anymore. is there nayway I could open it up to fix it. My Dad has screwdrivers and thinks it may just be a loose or broken wire from the charging port to the battery.
Any help would be appreciated it my favorite toy. Thanks Miso
Oreo acts like she's afraid of the Fish. But I doubt that's the case. She'll only check it out, after it stops moving. She has never seen a Fish flop around on the floor like that before! And not sure what to think of the sound it makes. So, she just lays there and watches it for awhile. And waits for it to stop jumping around. Then after she's sure the scary Ole Fish is dead, she sneaks up to it and bats it with her Paw! Of course it starts flopping around again. So she jumps backs and watches it some more. I like it. And so does everyone else that sees it. Oreo is a very good Mouse catcher, but not so much, when it comes to grabbing a noisy Fish! ! I think she'll get used to it though. One of these days I expect to find it in my Shoe!
Purchased flop fish for my beautiful fur grandbaby Mr Meow.....n he loves it.....flips it attacks it n loves it...tu so much for a reasonable price n efficient shipping got it before Christmas!
I bought Gerald for my Labra doodle, Lucy Doodle Snell. Lucy really enjoys playing with Gerald.
My cat *loves* this fish. I mean, *LOVES* like it's his girlfriend. Let's put it this way: I have seen behavior I never expected to see from a neutered male cat.
its loud and my cats are afraid of it. my boyfriend's ferrets love it tho. they steal it from each other and hide it and play tug of war with it and have fun running all over with it. i had to stuff it will some paper to bulk it up a little its kinda flimsy. and there is already a hole in the tail where the mechanical part is trying to poke thru. but i still enjoy this product, my ferrets have a lot of fun with it
I bought the 4 pack, kept 2 & gave the others away as gifts. My 2 cats sat back and watched for the first little bit, figuring out what it was! Finally my oldest went and sat on it! Eventually the other came around also. They play with them every so often. The motor is louder than I anticipated, but it’s not too bad.
For granddaughter cat. He loves it.
My cat loves this toy! The battery lasts about 30 minutes and he will play with it the full amount before a quick re charge.
Two dogs. No cats.
Labradoodle thinks it is kind of silly and doesn't get involved much.
Miniature poodle thinks it a great thing from time to time. Grabs it and runs with it, throws it up in the air, catches and runs again.
I was planning on giving to a cat owner if it didn't work out. Fishy isn't going anywhere.
My cats are older....8 and 10 years old. The played for about 2 or 3 minutes, then haven't touched it since. Maybe if they were younger, they would be more interested. I thought it would be fun....but they didn't.
My cats love it!
Our 2 cats (about 2 years old) are very entertained by the Floppy Fish. The one who saw it first claimed it as his own, but when he's not looking, the other one likes to play with it. It's fun to watch them try to hold the fish down while the tail is flopping back and forth. It's great that the toy turns itself off when the cats walk away, and is ready to automatically turn on again when one of them decides to check it out again by touching it.
It's a good product that works as advertised, but unfortunately my cat is a spoiled princess who doesn't like automatic toys
Bought this for my 95 year old Grandma for Christmas because she saw it on a commerical and brought it up...It took longer than I'd have liked to ship to her, but her kitty enjoys it, and its entertaining for Gram. So I'm happy with the purchase.
They are one of the best kitty toys. Our Chap really likes it when I put it in a shoe box and kick it so that the whole box shakes. He digs in after it.
The toy was exactly as described. Our cat loves playing with it when it's turn off, but scares him when you turn it on and the f ih sh flops around.
My cats love them!
It’s for my sister in another state
Sorry but she loves it
Oliver loves his floppy fish! He plays with all the time...especially at night time!
Cats love them!
Great entertainment and play fun for your favourite felines.
I bought three and want more. SUPER and easy to use and charge, you won't be disappointed.
Well, I bought four fish for Christmas gifts for my 8 cats. One of them is using it frequently but the other cats are afraid of them. Mind you, these are big cats who are like bloodhounds. They aren't afraid of anything until now. They are slowly getting used to the fish so I keep them charged. I love the fact that each fish has an on/off button and its own charging wire. I just stick it into the fish and the other end into a USB port on my computer and its ready to go in a short amount of time.
Gerald is everything as advertised. He's flipping around all over our TV room. He holds the electric charge for a long time, and is very easy to recharge. However, our cats view him as an oddity, not prey. They were a family when we rescued them, so I don't know what happened in their past to create this suspicion. Gerald and I will persevere though. Maybe they will eventually pounce out of annoyance?
The cat plays with it a lot
Cat loves it!
We have two cats and they fight over it!! Lots of fun for them!!
My cat loves his fish, Gerald, stationary or floppin'. Sometimes he brings it to me to charge and hops around squeaking until it's ready to go. It was a good Christmas gift!
Gave this to my sister for her cats. They go crazy loving these things.
My cat was afraid of the toy fish at first.
Now he loves it. He had to learn about toys that interact with him.
My cat loved this. I have gotten her many toys that do not interest her but this fish did! So happy to find
something she loves.
I have two cats and they all enjoy this product in different ways. One of them loves to wack it and just watch it flop around. The other doesn't like the flopping, but when I turn it off he loves to sleep with it and bat it around.
It works and my cats love it.
Cats enjoyed it. Unfortunately, so does the dog. This one gets put up when not in use. :)
It runs out if charge very quickly but the cat lives it while it lasts
I think I love this more than the cat or dog. But its cool.
I bought this for my daughter's cat. Unfortunately, he already has a flopping fish and you do not accept returns. I tucked it away to give to someone else's cat someday.
I gave the fish toy to my grandkitty for christmas. He loved it. Jumped on it and rabbit kicked and bit it. Lots of fun! Works great.
My cat is a bit unsure about this toy but she does play with it now and then. I think she’ll like it more as she gets used to it. I love the fact that it charges like a phone and no batteries are required!! That’s a definite plus!
Fun toy! The cats are really excited about it at first, but like most cats, they get bored. They'll come back to it once in a while if I shove some cat-nip in there, though.
Gave as gift to friend with 2 kitties, we wore them out on Christmas Day! And they are still lovin’ it.
Our kittens love the floppy fish!! It’s so soft and they feel comfortable batting it around. We reasearched all of the similar products on the market and this is the one we picked for so many reasons. It’s not the cheapest, but it came out on top in many categories. We weren’t disappointed!
It is a bit noisy and the actually scares my cat. If you could figure out how to make it quieter it would be awesome!
Great Christmas present for the cats. One loves to hunt and loves this fish...it only flops when she gets near it.
Both our cats LOVE it. They play with it constantly!!!
My cat really likes the floppy fish. Took her a little while to start playing at first just watched. So glad it's usb charged! She likes to play at night-glad I don't need to turn on & off! Thank you!
I ordered 2 of the fish. I thought from the reviews the fish were a little larger, no big deal.
They are well made. Work as stated. No issue what so ever with the product.
They seem really cool, but my cats just didn't seem too into them. Maybe because my cats are getting older...I find that they only like toys that I use to interact with them. Automated laser light they ignore, I use the laser light in the same pattern, 2 out of 3 chase it.
So it's not the product. It's good quality. Charges just fine. Good instructions. No complaints. Just my cats are not into it, but the fish will find a good home where they are appreciated. :) I don't regret trying them out as I could spare the money at the time. You just never know sometimes with cats. Ha ha ha!
Our kitties LOVE this toy! Very helpful that it's rechargeable (& comes with a charging cable) and does not take annoying batteries.
We purchased this flippy flop for our multipoo. She loves this toy and how the tail flops in motion ! Bella has figured out how to get the tail to move for her. It’s very sensitive so it keeps her entertained!
Also, the toy comes with a charger . The fish stays charged for hours .
Thank you so much for this quality purchase.
Excellent quality and purchase. Cat loves it!
The floppy fish are super cute and my two fur babies love them. One of my cats (who gets bored rather quickly) loves playing with the floppy fish and sometimes sleeps with it. I bought one for each of them. The battery dies kind of fast but that's ok because I can charge one while they play with the other. Love this purchase!
Hey, it’s a Christmas present, so Lucy must wait for Santa to deliver it.
High quality construction! My cats didn’t like the noise/being hit with the fish tail when they pounced on it but like playing with the fish when it’s turned off.
I was sure that Young Punk Cat would adore the Flipping Fish - and he does, but it took him a while to start liking it. We turn it off at night!
Cat went crazy with this. Have to turn it off occasionally to give her a rest.
Great customer service experience! Arrived ahead of ETA in perfect condition, much to the happiness of my cats. Recommend this vendor and product
These toys have been fun for both the cat and the dog. I love how quickly they charge too.
Luckily, my dog understands the commands "easy" & "gentle". Can the movable parts be made to withstand a very excited dog? They may be strong enough now, and it's just me that is protective of the cute fish toy :)
Mr Nicholas F.
My old solder of a kitty was at first not impressed but with a little cat-nip became a new friend and "Go-To" Toy. She really loves Gerald with the movement off as much as on.
I ordered from the Great Britain and received it within a few days.
A great addition to any kitties toy-box.
Leo LOVES this fish. I need to get another one because keeping it charged is a challenge. It's his favorite toy and I love that I don't need to go through a zillion batteries to keep my kitty happy and engaged.
Great and well-thought out product. Leo and I thank you!
Mischief just loves. She will play with it for a few minutes, walk away from it then attack.
When I first put it down and it was flopping around, my 3 cats where afraid of it...lol
After they became figured out it wasn’t going to attack them they have great fun with it. Especially when you put catnip inside. I like that it comes with its own charger, so no batteries to worry about. All around great kitty toy.
We have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I got it for the cats - but they were not interested, but my Cavalier King Charles loves it!
My cat is old and I wanted to have more exercise so I got her the fish. She loved it the first hour but later wanted nothing to do with it. I think it just took too much of her energy. The fish itself is great and if she were younger, I know she would love it.
She is still a little afraid of it, but she likes it
My cat was a little unsure of the fish to start with, but now chases it around and jumps on it every chance he gets. He loves it!
Very nice quality and rechargeable! Fun and different gift idea for a cat lover!
My cat loves the fish and plays with it every day when he becomes bored!!
My Bengal just sat and watched it for a few days. A week or two later, he figured out if he picked it up and dropped it, it would start moving again. It is soooo good to find anything that holds a Bengal's attention for more than a few moments!!
The floppy fish was actually a gift for the strays that my cousin cares for. Her dog tried it first and fell in love with it. Needless to say Gerald became a dog toy.
We actually got this for our dog and she likes it.
The only thing that made it more fun would have been catnip with it.
Even my daughters small dog had a go at it for awhile
Great product - Great service - Highly Recommended
the floppy fish toy is super cool and looks super realistic and the only reason i said it was just okay is simply because my cat gets a little scared of it when it is turned on and is reluctant to play with it on but cuddles with it when it is turned off.
not the fault of the fish toy my cat is kind of lazy and just likes to cuddle with it.
great cat toy for a more energetic and playfull cat.
My two Bengals totally destroyed the first one, that's why I bought four !!!! They carry them around and retrieve them when thrown. Expensive, but Floyd and Alice love them to death. Worth the investment however long they may last.
My kitty is super smart...almost human...he has health problems so from birth his exposure to a normal environment was pretty much nil. I got him a five foot "tree" but having no experience of trees, he wasn't interested. This has pretty much been the way things go for him. So, I loved the fish...he didn't...so my other son's cats get all our left-overs...they love it all...
The cats enjoy playing with them especially when we put catnip on them.
The toy fish is really cute. My cats will not pick it up but seem to know to touch it around the tail area to set it in motion. It keeps them busy sneaking up on it. It's well made and easy to recharge. Maybe if the size was smaller my cats might pick it up and carry it around.
Both cats love the Flippy fish!
Purchased "Gerald" & "Bill" and I can't say that our cat "loves" them, but certainly likes them well enough. They're indeed very life-like in appearance and the way they flop and move, but I do wish they would stay charged longer. Also, and this does not have anything to do with the quality of these two cat toys, just note that if they're used on a hard surface like a wood floor, they make a lot of racket!
My Doris LOVES her toy! She never tires of it, and she always finds new ways to incorporate it into play.
Mayfield is very picky when it comes to toys. He enjoys playing
with his fish, more so than many
of his other toys.
The flopping fish was a hoot. My Chihuahua puppy liked it also, the cats too. Nicely made, holds up to the chewing and scratching. Thank you.
Cats don't like it, dog loves it. Completely satisfied with the fish. Dog is gentel with it, ad tosses it up in the air, barks at it and
I ordered these for two older cats , at first they were afraid having never seen anything like these, A little cat nip and that aroused their curiosity. Now they follow us if we pick them up they follow us and cry to get them back., they even started sleeping with their new friends. Could not be happier with this purchase and highly recommend them to others!
We have two kitties. One loves Gerald and one is afraid of him. I think the longer Gerald is around the house, the more he will be part of kitty play.
My kitten LOVES this toy. She has so much fun playing with it.
The floppy fish was a gift to my son for his two cats. Rob said they loved them and the bit of catnip that was included in my purchase was a nice bonus, thanks.
The cat absolutely loved it
Loads of fishy fun!
A great, interactive toy!
My daughter’s roommate’s kitten loves it and plays with it a lot! Our older cats like it too. It’s so funny. They don’t actually play with it but they sniff it and lay beside it sometimes.
My kitten immediately pounced on this flopping fish! He LOVES it and tries to not have to share with the other cats. It is almost as big as he is and rather comical to watch him "catch" this fish and drag it into his cat bed.
I bought these as Christmas gifts for people who have cats. I haven't tried them out. I will wait to hear from the recipients of the gifts before I can actually write a review.
